Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to lead the acquisition of a Sherwin-Williams property located in Plattsburgh, NY. This asset was purchased from a group of 7 multi-generational trustees based out of the Northeast and serves as our 8th acquisition in Upstate New York over the last 18 months. We now maintain 15% of our portfolio in the state of New York and 45% of our portfolio in the Northeast.

On Wednesday, March 16, the US Federal Reserve approved an interest rate increase of 0.25 percentage points, the first hike since December 2018. The Fed expects to raise rates at each of their six remaining meetings in 2022 with a consensus target rate of 1.9% by year’s end.
In December 2021 I had the opportunity to acquire an Applebee’s asset located in Lexington, KY from a private investor based in Orlando, FL. The entire acquisition took a total of 60 days from executed LOI to close, putting this among the quickest acquisitions in our organization’s history.
In August of 2021, I had the opportunity to work with Bill Pedersen and Brandon Perez of Matthews Real Estate Investment Services on the purchase of a NN-leased Walgreens asset in Monticello, NY.
